DNA Sequencing Services

Research Biolabs provide an extensive range of DNA Sequencing Services. The following describes the services we offer:
 
 
Our NEW Sequencer

ABI Prism 3100

Ready to run samples

You complete the sequencing reaction using ABI Prism BigDye™, followed by the removal of primers and unincorporated dye terminators (by two times of 70% ethanol precipitation or purification through QIAGEN DyeEx™ Spin columns) and lyophilize the products.

Maximum 3 working days turnaround time (less than 16 samples).

You can purchase the reaction mix from us.

Full reaction

You give us your purified template* (see table below) and primers, we will do the sequencing reaction for you. Upon receiving your primers, we will verify the quantity and quality of your templates and primers.

Please provide us with 2µl of primer (3.2 - 5 pmole/µl) per reaction.

Maximum 5 working days turnaround time (less than 16 samples).

Note: Please make sure that your samples are protein-free and salt-free. Presence of these contents in DNA sample will severely affect the quality of the sequence readout. We recommend to wash your samples twice with 70% ethanol to remove the salts completely. 
* If required, we can provide extra purification for your templates (PCR product) with an additional charge.

Primer walking
You provide us with the template DNA (at least 25µg of DNA preferably purified with QIAGEN midi- or maxi-prep DNA). We will sequence one strand of the entire insert. You will receive the completed sequence with all the primers synthesized for the process.

Please provide us with as much information as possible about the plasmid/insert (Plasmid name, size, cloning sites, priming sites etc.)

Sequencing rate is 1kb/week. Partial sequence will be e-mailed to you as soon as they are available. Completed sequence and electropherogram will be delivered the day after the full completion. 

We will email the sequence to you when it is available and the electropherograms will be delivered on the next day.
